Regine Velasquez ready to give up her career

Regine Velasquez ready to give up her career to be a full time wife to Ogie Diaz, this what she said in Showbiz Central on a heat seat with Mo Twister's "Gimme Mo" segment last Sunday, July 19.

Among the celebrities who chose the Top 5 questions for Regine are Sunshine Dizon, Dingdong Dantes, and boyfriend Ogie Alcasid, na may hanging question kung kailan ba yung time na nasabi ni Regine sa sarili niyang mahal siya nito.

Mo's first question ay kung nakakaramdam pa ba ng insecurities ang isang Regine Velasquez.

"Just like any other... Lahat naman ng tao, nakakaramdan ng insecurities. That's part of who we are. Kung hindi ka mai-insecure, parang hindi mo rin mai-improve ang sarili mo. I also feel that way sometimes, but I deal with it myself, you know. I try to pinpoint kung ano yung may kulang," sagot ng Asia's Songbird.

Ang insecurity ba na yun ay may kinalaman sa pagdating ng bagong talent?

"Well, as far as that is concerned, I don't," ani Regine. "No. Because parang wala na rin naman akong karapatan na ma-insecure. I've been in the business for a long time and God has blessed me tremendously and it's like, if I feel insecure, another singer or a new talent comes along at yun na ang papalakpakan ng mga tao, parang magagalit sa akin si God. Parang nagrereklamo ako nun. It's crazy even thinking about it.

"Yun na nga, binigyan ako ng time ni God. I'm still here. I still have work and there are still a lot of people who support me. So, I have no reason to feel that way as far as that is concerned."

No one in particular that makes her feel insecure?

"I'm just happy for them," sambit niya.

Of this generation, or maybe all time, is she the country's best singer?

"I cannot..." natatawa niyang sabi. "You know, I cannot, I cannot say that. You know, here in the Philippines, siguro noong magsabog si God ng talent sa acting, sa singing, sa paggawa ng kanta, lahat, everyone has to do with art, lahat sinalo nating lahat. So, I just cannot say that I'm the best, but I'm okay."

OGIE ALCASID. Everybody knows that she and Ogie are very close. Posibleng walang nag-e-expect that they will end up together as a couple. Looking back, kung paano nag-umpisa yung relationship niya with Ogie and yung failed relationships at heartaches niya, anong point ng buhay ni Regine na-realize niya na ang kaibigan niyang si Ogie ay mamahalin niya buong buhay?

"Hindi ko rin ine-expect!" natatawang sagot ni Regine. "At saka, isa lang naman ang failed relationship ko [referring to Ariel Rivera]. Actually, dalawa pa lang naman sila. Actually, it was really unexpected talaga for both of us, especially sa kanya because, you know, he's married and we were just really friends.

"I've known him siguro almost all my life, parang bata pa lang kami... Kasi, nauna ako sa kanyang nag-umpisa sa showbiz. Nakilala ko siya, I remember, nag-front act siya kay Dingdong [Avanzado], tapos nagpakilala siya sa akin na, 'I'm Ogie.' Actually, naalala ko, nag-date pala kami nun!"

So, may short romance pala before all of these?

"Meron... He actually watched one of my concerts and he gave me a [teddy] bear. And I don't even remember. Tapos, nag-date kami, parang group date lang naman yun. Parang hindi na agad naulit kasi parang na-weirduhan siya sa akin dahil noong bata pa ako, parang... I never really expected we'll end up together. But I always thought he's a wonderful man."

MICHELLE'S WEDDING. Ano ba ang role ni Regine sa kasal ni Michelle Van Eimeren, Ogie's ex-wife?

"Flower girl!" biro ni Regine.

Pupunta ba siya sa kasal?

"Yes, I am. Michelle and Mark [Murrow] invited both me and Ogie. So, we're going in November."

Does she have a role aside from attending, like kakanta ba siya?

"Definitely! even if they don't ask, we'll just go up there," sagot ni Regine.

So, just like sisters with Michelle?

"Yeah, and we are all very happy for them. Nakakatuwa kasi sobra nilang deserving talaga na maging happy and they deserve each other talaga."

Ogie has two kids with Michelle. If times come that she and Ogie will start a family of their own, will Regine can give-up her career to have a private life as a wife and mother?

"Yeah. that's mostly part of all women who get married. And one day, I will just take care of Ogie and, hopefully, God will bless us a child. I'll be happy to give everything. In fact, I've done so much in my life, even like to be a nude star!" she laughed.

Mo said, he even imagined how would the kids lucky having a sweet voice like theirs...

"E, paano kung hindi namana?" natatawang sabi ni Regine bilang pangwakas.

Like his story, Park's camera wanders freely, though not in the dizzying way he favors on occasion. It will just occasionally wander around a room, frame something through a door left ajar, or otherwise capture a world that is far off-kilter. Or capture a lot of skin; in a movie about lusts run wild, Park doesn't hold much back at all (there was early speculation that relative unknown Kim got the part because doing a film with this much nudity could be a career-killer in Asia), where either sex or violence is concerned.

That's the basic set-up; after Park gets that in place, Thirst meanders a little. It's not that he doesn't know what to do with the story so much as once a situation has played out a little, it leads to a new situation where it might be fun to see what happens next, and so on. Yes, a far more direct path could be taken to the end from almost-the-end, but then you'd miss the demented-sitcom stuff, which contains a rich vein of gold, leading up to a final scene that somehow manages to be both tragic and playful, displaying the same this-leads-to-this-leads-to-this of the rest of the movie in microcosm. In fact, it occasionally seems that Park and co-writer Jeong Seo-gyeong are trying to make a vampire film that is everything but a horror movie - there's a lot more black comedy, melodrama, and suspense than there is fear.

Belo resents NBI's surprise visit to her house

THE lawyer of Dr. Vicki Belo assailed the three agents of the National Bureau of Investigation for allegedly trying to search the house of the cosmetic surgeon without warrant or prior notice last week. Adel Tamano said that on June 23, NBI agents Palmer Mallari, Christian Ibasco, and Glenn Nolacio went to Belo’s house in Dasmariñas Village, Makati and insisted to search the residence, particularly her computer.

Belo maintains innocence on sex video scandal

Celebrity cosmetic surgeon Vicki Belo asked the Department of Justice (DOJ) to drop the criminal charge filed against her in connection with the sex video scandal of her former lover, Dr. Hayden Kho Jr. Belo said she could not be considered as an accessory to the crime since she had no knowledge that a crime had been committed when she witnesses the videos.

"I certainly did not know whether or not the women therein willingly gave their consent to have their private and intimate moments videotaped by Hayden… Upon viewing the videos, it was neither apparent nor did I entertain the suspicion, that Hayden was guilty of any crime," she said.

In her counter-affidavit, Belo said she learned of the existence of the videos from Kho’s friend, businessman Erik Chua, who she said gave her a DVD copy of the videos. She said she destroyed the videos “in a fit of anger."

She also clarified that what she merely asked of Chua was to delete the file containing the sex video that she and Kho made, which she said was done with her consent. She said she did not ask him to duplicate and distribute the videos as accused by Halili.

Dra. Vicki Belo: A Woman Behind the Story

Before I've seen this coverage of life story of Dra. Vicki Belo made by Probe TV of Abs-Cbn, I have concluded that ABS-CBN would make really something for Belo in helping her out to the intrigues of sex scandal. Remember, Dra. Vicki Belo is one of the biggest endorser of Abs-cbn in many TV shows and talents. For sure, this segment would help her to stand out and saving her to the issues. This segment shows that Belo is a very strong & kind person, a little poor adapted child, a real lover, intelligent and survivor. Wow, perfect timing.
For those who have watched this segment of Probe, I am certain that viewers were melting their hearts and giving enough conclusion that Belo is not definitely part of the sex scandal story. Catch it!... well, i think that's the real intent of this episode (!?)

I am not anti-Belo, I do not question the life that she had before. I admire her. I mean she's perfect in everything especially when it comes to business, but maybe not in "heart's career". I think that's the real life, we're all not perfect.
But let us open our mind, this is my opinion--- I like to blog this issue because it keeps my mind running out of a very curious life situation. Dra. Vicki Belo is a level-headed person, she has the capacity to manipulate everything because of money. We seen "betrayal" as part of her life, and this was a biggest mistake amongst all. Having deep conclusion, this was really painful to her and causing big trauma and hatred. We can never blame her. For her, this was a total destruction of her life...

Now, the question still left behind. Who do you think the monster of spreading out the sex videos online? Is it Hayden Kho, Katrina Halili, Vicky Belo or the two friends who knows the uploading and deleting of these videos? Everyone has their reasons, but in due time...I believed that the real answer of the story will be revealed!!!
